SANSKRIT / DEVANAGRI SCRIPT
The Sanskrit alphabet is the basis for most South Asian scripts. The Devanagri script is used for Hindi, Bengali, Marathi, and a great many other North Indian languages. South Indian alphabets include Tamil, Telegu, Malayalam, and Kannada. Of these I am most familiar with Kannada and Telegu. I can also calligraph the ancient Pali script and other South Asian variant alphabets.
The Arabic script is also used in South Asia, especially for the Urdu language. Click here for samples.
An alphabet related to the South Asian scripts is used for Amharic in Ethiopia. I am familiar with that script as well.

This piece was impossible to photograph, but it does show the devanagri script used for Sanskrit and the majority of North Indian languages. This commission was created in three types of gold ink with the lettering done in gold leaf. The reflective quality of the gold simply cannot be photographed!
The devanagri script is part of a larger alphabet family which includes a great many South Asian and Southeast Asian scripts, any of which you may commission. The second sample, at the bottom of this page, is in the South Indian Telegu script, a very close relative of the South Indian Kannada script.
Calligraphers will note that the pen angle is different when writing scripts in different language families. I have put up photos giving a quick demo of the different pen angles needed for calligraphing latic, arabic, and devanagri scripts, if interested If you are interested, you can see a demo of the different pen angles needed for calligraphing latin, arabic, and devanagri scripts, click here.
