HINESE BRUSH PAINTING CLASSES
Chinese brush painting emphasizes the use of ink, paper, water and colors as the vehicles for
transferring energy into visual form. Classes cover basic use of the materials, practice in brush
strokes using Chinese calligraphy and traditional painting techniques, exploration of specific subject
matter, composition, and creative use of the medium.
Classes meet every Tuesday, 6 - 8 pm

(The Tench Building is located on the NE corner of South Main Street and 2nd Avenue in downtown
Gainesville--there is ample free parking if you contact me in advance)
Each 4-week block of classes is $60.00
For those attending class for the first time: bring materials you already have -- we will discuss what
else you will need before you spend any money!
A selection of brushes and papers is available for purchase in class.
